This Privacy Policy explains what information the BassHawk application, website, and related services (the “Service”) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Fish & Game Intelligence LLC, doing business as BassHawk (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It should be read together with our Terms of Use. Questions: [email protected].
We use this information to run the Service for you: to sign you in, show your lakes, spots, and log, build guide reports and plans for the lakes you fish, send the emails you asked for, process purchases, provide support, keep the Service secure, and improve it. As our Terms of Use explain, our staff can view account activity and logged content when needed for support, troubleshooting, and testing.
We rely on a small number of providers that process data on our behalf, only to operate the Service and under their own security and privacy commitments:
Used once paid plans and the mobile apps launch:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Every lake-report email includes an unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and you can choose to stop one lake or every lake. You can also email [email protected] to be removed. We may still send messages about your account or purchases (such as receipts or renewal reminders) while you have one.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: open the menu and choose Delete account, then confirm. This permanently deletes your account and everything saved to it — custom spots, catch log, plans, favorite lakes, settings, and usage events — and marks your email unsubscribed from lake reports. It cannot be undone. You can also email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your store subscription settings as well.
Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA), Texas (the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act), and other US states with similar laws, you may have the right to:
How to make a request. Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject, and say what you are asking for. To protect your account, we will confirm the request comes from you, usually by replying to the email address on the account. You may use an authorized agent, who must show us your written permission. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time as the law allows. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will answer the appeal within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
We use encryption in transit, access controls that keep each person’s data private to their account, and providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee it, but we will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects your information.
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where the change is significant we will also tell you in the app or by email.
